adidas drops Belgium’s Fiery Home Kit for the 2022 World Cup

adidas have just dropped Belgium’s home kit for the 2022 World Cup, with the team’s nickname – The Red Devils – used as central inspiration for the fiery new design.

The kit arrives in Belgium’s classic color combination, featuring a red base across the body, with three red stripes to the shoulders and a flame graphic running up the raglan sleeves and shirt socks in a nod to the Belgian nickname.

“When we design national team kits for such important tournaments as the FIFA World Cup, we always keep in mind that these designs will be part of the legendary history of football. For us, it is crucial first and foremost to create kits that equip the world’s greatest football athletes with performance apparel that helps them unlock their highest level of play, while always featuring unique and unforgettable iconic designs that are bold, visuals will catch and create a real sense of excitement among fans around the world,” said Jürgen Rank, Senior Design Director Football at adidas.

Each adidas kit is made from 100% recycled polyester, continuing the brand’s ongoing commitment to help end plastic waste, while the breathable Authentic kits contain 50% Parley Ocean plastic, intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines.

As with other World Cup kits, the Belgium home shirt features the latest adidas fabric innovations, including lightweight and heat-applied details. It’s built from materials and textures to help gamers feel cool with HEAT.RDY technology, optimized to make gamers feel comfortable.

Belgium’s new home shirt will debut in upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against the Netherlands and Wales, before taking part in the World Cup proper in November.
