Editor’s notes: The world of Crocs collaborations is a weird and wonderful place, and MCM has just entered it. The luxury house’s first collab with Crocs joins Ye’s favorite Balenciaga chunky boots, Salehe Bembury’s fingerprint-embellished shoes and KFC’s fried chicken ode to the land of shoe collabs where seemingly anything goes.

The German brand has followed in the footsteps of previous collaborators such as Post Malone and BEAMS, striving to make clogs even more practical – but of course, with a monogrammed MCM twist.

The classic clog from the American shoe brand has been given a reinforced heel strap for added support and cushioning, a bulky sole with increased traction and a removable bag to keep all the mini valuables. safely.

Whether it’s Travis Scott’s Nike releases, the New Balance 2002rs or the BAPE x Suicoke collaboration, a storage pocket becomes almost a prerequisite for any fashionable sneaker and with MCM, it offers a luxurious version of the tendency. The Munich brand is best known for its leather goods, in particular its brown monogrammed bags, of which this sneaker is declined in its own way. On the right foot is a small version of the brand’s fanny pack (or fanny pack if you prefer) that clips over the top of the shoe.

To match the mini bag’s signature gold plaque, the shoe also comes with gold-colored MCM-branded Jibbitz. As with all Crocs, these can be removed and added to customize the shoe.
