Sonnet and Adidas Record Wins at PWHPA Dream Gap Tour

MONTREAL — Team Sonnet and Team Adidas were the winners of Saturday’s action at the Dream Gap Tour.

Team Sonnet scored Team Scotiabank’s first goal before coming back strong to record a 4-2 win at the Professional Women’s Hockey Players’ Association event at the Verdun Auditorium.

Alexa Vasco, Abby Roque, Erin Ambrose and Brianne Jenner scored for the winners, while Megan Keller and Rebecca Johnston scored for Scotiabank, who led 1-0 after the first period and trailed 2-1 before the third. Jenner also added two assists in the win.

Team Adidas spotted a 2-0 lead for Team Harvey and came back on top with four unanswered goals to record a 4-2 win at the Verdun Auditorium.

Sarah Potomak scored two goals for the winners, including one in an empty net. Kendall Coyne Schofield and Kelly Gribbons scored singles for Team Adidas. Samantha Donovan had two assists.

Jamie Lee Rattray and Marie-Philip Poulin scored for Team Harvey’s.

The two winning teams earned three points in the season standings.
